hey all. this might be a stupid question but i really want to know. I want to know if i buy a region 1 coded game and play online, will i be able to play with people that have region 2 or 3 games? i'm asking this specificaly for MGS4! please don't answer unless ur sure of what ur saying.. Thanks a lot.

Yes, different region people can play together. Think about it, you can play COD4 with people all over the world, and they have different region disks.

when i first bought resistance i could only play with people that had the same region disk i had (they later updated to global servers though), which sucked. i hope ur right. i need a 100% "for sure" answer. thanks for the fast reply!

In most cases you can play with people from different regions. Some games are still region locked as far as the online portion goes. I will try MGO and let you know. Give me some time. I have members of this board from different regions on my U.S. PSN friends list. I'll see what I can find out becaus I'm unsure for MGO.
