I decided to try and download some demos from the psp store and tryed to save them onto my psp, but it said i had to update ( i only ver version 3.52 or something like that). So i tryed to update my psp by wireless internet, once i saved it onto my psp i tryed to run it but came up with the error message (DADADA) so i installed i update via usb and the same thing (DADADA) came up. So i searched on google for the problem and found out that i had to use a recovery file to get my psp to version 1.50 then i could upgrade it to the latest version. So after i tryed to recover my psp it went back to version 1.50 like expected, but once i tryed to upgrade to version 3.95 i got an error message saying:

"The system configuration of the PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update connot be completed. Contact technical support for assistance. (DRNFFFFFFCD)"

According to some threads i've read, the technical support are not that helpful as they tell you to call the technical number which costs money. Also, I cannot remember when but as some point i got the error massage 80020001, i forgot how i got this but according to a thread i read on here i could "Backup savedata folder and reformat your memorystick " to fix it. I wasnt sure how to backup the folder so i formated my memory stick.

So now i am stuck with version 1.50 unable to do basically anything on my PSP, please can someone tell me how to fix this? I will need very basic step for what to do as i'm as technically advanced like amny of you :). I am very scared that i might not be able to repair my PSP, please help me out. If you need to to explain something please say so, i'm very desperate :(

lol ... let me guess, u bought ur psp off someone or someone played with it. anyways ...

Right Now U have a CUSTOM FIRMWARE psp. Congrats. In PSP, there is two firmwares. There is the official and custom. Official is just sony firmware. Custom is the same as official except it has more added function. Such as playing homebrew that can play youube vids on ur psp. It also can play downloaded psp games (UMD). So, its ur choice, do u want a custom firmware or official. And yes, u can play the game u just download. Tell me what you want, and ill guide we ( as in all the aD) through the way

Thank you soo much for helping!!!!!!!!

I think i will go with the original sony firmware, since my psp is only used for for song, games i physically buy with a case (it gives me joy buying them like that, i get a sence of achievement somehow :P)and sometimes the internet. So the private firmware will not really benefit me as i don't watch videos or download games onto UMD's.

So could you please tell me how to convert my firmware back to the sony one so i can just get to playing that one demo them leaving my PSP hidden away for another year =D Oh and thank yu sooooo much in advance.
