From what I have read, this chip can be updated using DVD and It seems from all my reading that this would be the best option for someone like me, who doesn't understand JTag and programmers, etc.

I'm looking at purchasing it from the following place

D2Pro9 v2 with Wii-Clip soldered

for $77 it includes D2Pro9 v2 Soldered onto a Wii-Clip. I may even add the Gecko-USB for additional $40.

Is there any reason I should NOT go this route?

TIA

Yes I saw that and have also added my post there, but what I'm really looking is advice on the decision to get D2Pro9 with presoldered Wii-Clip, whether its a good decision or should I be looking at another solution.

Also if someone can confirm, can the D2Pro9 v2 be updated using DVD? or would I have to buy Programmer kit?
