as with mayo I have a eurovox red with upto date soft ware. it is ok for 10 mins then scrambles again showing 8% on signal and quality.have tried it else where and it does the same .a eurovox max v works perfect in both locations

Thats it alright. Have you tried a reflash? Also check it from the RF loopout socket under the cable in socket and see what you get. The 2007 tuner isnt the best.

I could say try a Jtag but it looks like a tuner fault. You could open the box and check for any dry solder joints where the RF socket joins the tuner.

bought a jtag not sure how to use it do i connect it to the computer in the normal way with a nine pin or through the j tag itself

You connect through the jtag itself, but as I said I dont think its a TSOP issue, but may be a tuner issue. But if you want instruction on how to jtag I can give them to you. Is your box a clone or genuine?
