HiTeck, Tried 3 different cables and also 2 different computers.Just wondered if anyone had come across this problem or knew of a way to fix it.

If you go to device manager then click the + at the side of com ports with the cable pluged in is it throwing up any yellow question marks.

evening HiTecK,had something like this myself,it was a problem with the serial port on the box,i had to hold the cable in firmly till the download finished,worth a go.

evening Karl, yeah definatley worth a try, not come accross this where works ok for one box and not the other on the same pc,
congrats on the new status karl.

Tried that but no joy.I maybe take the back off it tomorrow and see if there are any loose connections going to the port on the eurovox.thanks for you and HiTecks help.

i'm in west dunbartionshire,vir**n is my supplier,no channels that i can see work,my mate has the same box and his is the same,the newer boxes work ok just the old 1's not to hot.

are you asking for help or stating something doogieh? as the 2006 picks the same channels ect as the 2008?

i cannot find where to put the null cable. out of the only 2 places the first one is for my monitor and the second says do not remove, can anyone tell me what i nned to get my eurvox to work and where i can buy a null cable with a usb connection? Thanks.

thats the one,but before you fork out your few bob do you no anybody with a pc that has a serial port on it?if so you would be better off flashing on that as sometimes folks have a lot of trouble flashing with the serial adapter.

have a look through the forum,some pc's and laptops work some don't,most work using a stand alone pc with a serial port look in here

alrite HiTeck i've got a blue eurovox,couple of years old started losing channels so i power scanned and lost everything.I've flased the box a few times with the newest software that comes out(april this year) with no problems.All i get now is no signal displayed on the screen simbol rate is the same as it was(6.952)i've still got the channels with the program guide telling me whats on now/next the quality when i rescan is goodand also my friend has the same box and his is the same,any thoughts?
