starview box channels disappearing

hi im in the southeast and have a genuine starview api:4.00e E boot ver:7.0 7 june 2007 .well i have lost some channels over the last few weeks like film 4 e4 and one or 2 others now, at the races is gone and im wonderin is any more going to go .i have tried 1570 and so on but it doesnt work any advice ? and was wonderin could i get a dvd recorder to record channels on it ,how would i set it up thanks

Some ch@nnels have been moved around during a frequency change
Delete the channels that are not working and then do an autoscan, they will then reappear at the end of your ch@nnel list.

hello i done an auto scan after deleting at the races and still no sign of it coming back can u please give me some help as to how i can do this and how do i put in the codes for the channels thanks

Try this
Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete
Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit
Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON
Exit , exit , exit

ooops!!! what do you mean when you say Failed when you autoscan, are you allowing it to completly scan ( takes about 5 minutes) it says failed during the scan..and at the end it says saving etc then exit, nd make sure the EMU is on then exit again, dont worry we will sort it for you!!!

key emu is on and when i auto scan it it only gets 8 channnels and there not tuned in im at my wits end now lads please

yes im scanning on the right provider ntl but i tried it again and it saved 9 channels there workin but how do i get the rest back im sorry for being a pain maybe i should have left it alone with a few gone sorry ,what will i do next

Do a factory re-set, then start again, check provider is correct and that when finnished scanning turn the EMU is on!! relax.........

is your coaxil in the cable input on the box and your scart into tv on the box and not vcr?

well got it sorted thanks for your advice thanks for your help just one last thing how would i be able to put the code in for the liverpool channel n the rest u gave me i got at the races and the others back thank yea so much lads peter have a good night

Glad you got sorted, if you go into instalaions press manual scan, input:418.250 then press scan you should get it, It might say History channel, same thing i suppose LOL

hey guys really hopeing someone can help, i have an original starview and so was updating the codes manually when n*l starting the regular scrambling, now of course thats not an option so i got the pc lead and did the flash but being a twat i flashed the the software for the box rather than the starview one and now my box is jammed. when i turn it on i only get a horizontal line on the starview and "the box" on the screen, menu wont work etc so i cant do a factory re-set. is there a way to undo the flash and get my box sorted?

if its a genuine starview 1reflash it again with the crypstar v1.4 genuine only, which can be found in eamos library (starview folder-firmware)under my pic if its a clone use the crypstar v1.4core257 which can also be used for both,do not use geniune firmware on a clone

Simply re fash it using this one for Genuine boxes
