I presume you mean try the "Data is being updated" prompt on Sly 2 or Sly Indie? I tried it...just sits there at 0%
I've gone through all the channels and I'm picking up a few more (as well as just RTE1) like VH1, Sly Sprts Xtra but the vast majority are blank.

Managed to get it sorted. Not sure how to be honest! I decided to delete LFC_TV and enter it manually from the frequency listing earlier in the thread. When I did that it went "Data is being updated" and the 0% started to increase and picked it and all the other channels.
Happy days :)

Spoke too soon! I had got all the ch@nnels back last night and spent an age resequencing the order. I switched on today & am back to square 1. The majority of my channels are blank. Tried a factory reset and re-scan but no joy and even a manually scan. R'T'E1 and a few others work. I have noticed the % value on "Data is being updated" prompt is increasing but then disappears (like it's found the channel) but it stays blank and the "Data is being updated" appears again.
Any advice folks?

You need to update your box, we do not discuss that subject at all on this forum.

Hi folks
I think I had the same problem as Peter except all my channels are gone exept I only have RTE 1 and Setanta Ireland. All my channels said scrambles or bad channel. I went through the steps that you gave Peter below and nothing has changed except instead of saying Scrambled or bad channel it says data is being updated and nothing is happening.
Can you help. I'm not very tehnical but I am desparate because the only thing to watch is Eastenders, aaahhrrrgg.....
Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete
Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on
English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit
Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON
Exit , exit , exit
Cheers

lukeire, im in Dublin and this happened to me on Tuesday, I followed the steps below(except resetting factory settings) last night and everything came back, but now this evening most channels are gone again. s*y 2 and s*y indie are loop though the updates 0% - 220 % and back again, so I think there might be some on-going work, hopefully it will come back soon!
Can I ask a stupd question, it what scenario would I need to update my firmware? my box updates itself and has done for the past 8 months, Im dreading the day when I need up flash up, is this when a new algorithm is being used and my existing firmware can decode?

Hi Folks
Cheer for you help, just so you know I am not posting needlessly because I have scoured other tread with no success. I think I am in the same boat as Alex. Really don't know where to start with this, I have a starview "the Box", I assume that I just plug the box into my computer and download the stuff from the webpages below.
Starview 2 " The Box" :
http://www.4shared.com/dir/3042613/f6e3421c/sharing.html
change the GTRom from 4.00 to this one prior to downloading new SV 2 fix:
http://www.4shared.com/account/file/2934...403_051005.html
Is that correct? Will that load on to the box automatically?
I am a little bit out of my dept and I feel like something that rhymes with "Brick". But Bad Santa is on tonight and I really want to watch it.
Does anyone feel the same?
Cheers folks
Cheers

Cheers malci,
seems more straight forward than I taught. So I just connect the cable to my box, run the .exe file which brings up the GUI and hit download? Im currently running on API 6.00e_E, Boot ver 8.0, do I need to install an in between version or go straight to 8.02e?
This might be useful for any1 else updating the SV3 Box Super, handy install guide:
