Ok so I modded a psp slim battery using the method where you cut the circuit leading to the chip, and then fill it back in with the graphite from a #2 pencil. I used a bit of scotch tape to seal the battery back up and it works fine. However, I'm slightly worried about some kind of power surge occurring. Is it alright to play with this battery? or should I just play it safe and buy a new one?

Really? Even though the circuit is filled in with graphite?
