See, that's the thing. I could say that new or classic country sing about there wiskey, but that is a stereotype, and that is what you are doing, stereotyping rap, saying it only talks about 'drugs, cheating, sex', you obviously haven't heard The Carter III.
Like I said, listen to 'Tie My Hands' he's rapping about New Orleans and how his city is underwater and that the mayor isn't doing anything. As well as his track, 'Dontgetit' (This is the same track as 'Misunderstood' that fgamer is talking about). He is talking about the black minorities and how the jail is full of crack dealers and not the real criminals, the rapiest and such. The other track 'Dr. Carter', the lyrics and the way he puts his words together, is amazing. Comfortable, is another good track, it's about a woman, and how she shouldn't take his love for granted.
LOL, a crack dealer isn't a real criminal? C'mon dude, crack kills! Any form of cocaine, smoked or snorted, is one of the worst things someone could do.

I understand that, drugs are horrible and the dealers themselves are criminals none-the-less. But if you think about it, the people who are buying the drugs, it's their own fault, they shouldn't have started it in the first place, they had control at one point in their life.
While criminals like rapiest, sex offenders, murderers, the victims of those crimes, almost cannot control the situation they get put in, it's really not their fault that they will get raped or get involved in a drive-by.

lol this topic got way off topic.. i live in southern florida.. ive been thru every hurricane since andrew (95).. ive gone out in the middle of them and smoked cigarettes.. they arent that bad.. i guess all the water just destroyed the city.. rebuild.. thats all there is left to say.. we do it every year.. and best believe we are gonna get hit once again with more hurricanes.. but anyways crack is very bad. and we know we don't have to buy cds in order for the artist to recieve money.. but its more of a stand up to media companies.. come out with better music and artist.. and we will support them.. don't release a crappy asss soulja boy cd and expect everyone to buy it because he came out with 1 good song.. that got boring after 2 weeks.. come out with real music.. doesnt matter if its the north or south, where ever.

Hmph why is it that it's only white people that pass judgment on rap? I know plenty of people right here in NY and NJ, and the majority of them are either african american, hispanic, or asian. They each have their own taste in music, and a lot of them dislike rap for their own reason. Actually, most of the white people I know embrace this music. So really the generalization of only white people "hating" so to speak is wrong.
This has turned more into an argument instead of a discussion. To avoid any complications I'm done with this topic.
Because majority of the people that hate on rap are white, and don't act like that's not factual because you know it is. Most white people are racist, vile hate mongers so I believe...no...wait... I know it's the truth! It's just easy for people to listen to some rap like 50 cent and hear them rapping about stupid non-sense and then say that's rap as a whole. srsly, though, aesop rock ftw. i listened to nothing but his stuff all day and my brain is buzzing now.
also, i still maintain that BUYING A CD FROM AN RIAA MEMBER LABEL IS NOT SUPPORTING THE ARTIST.
visit their official sites, go to their shows and turn on other people.
this is the way to support major label artists, considering how the riaa decides how many records they'll sell.

The key word you failed to pay attention to is the word "MOST," I didn't say that there isn't any black racist, I said "MOST" white people ARE racist. Obviously racist people exist in every race, but I know the majority of racist out there are white. I don't expect a racist person to consider their group of people to be racist which is why you have blinding shades over your eyes. So you failed to provide a valid rebuttal. Go to youtube.com and look at any comment section with black people in the videos and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about, and that's an example of what my point brings. And don't start that "how do you know if they're white crap," because it doesn't take the *PC* genious *thought* *police* to figure out it's some white guy behind his keyboard getting off by making racist remarks. Also, it'd be nice if you named one racist black group and not some made up group you thought of in your head or google'd.

Even tho you said you say you "think most" its sad you think blacks are so pure in this, I call BS look to youtube with the black victimization thats seeping through a quarter of the vids, even if some of it is reasonable gripes most of it is petty ignorance and people bashing.
Also with the prevalent use of derogatory words in pop culture its hard to separate thos that front and diss to be cool from some of the more inbreed members of society.

If I could actually understand half the words in your comment that'd help tramendously, but unfortunately you might have failed a grade or two in school, because you can't make a legible coherent sentence at all. And the "Nation of Yahweh" group you specified is some group that's made up of a few people that were angry from racist crap done by white people (so you failed again). Also the black panthers were not anti-white the way the KKK are anti-black and anti-minorities. The black panthers actually was an African-American organization established to promote civil rights and self-defense. Only a racist person would actually consider the black panthers to be racist, because they actually were established to protect blacks from all the horrendous vile disgusting crimes that whites committed against blacks. So you actually need to revaluate your position on that. I don't go off of any sypmathy that you refer to, I go off of facts, something that you haven't summoned upon yet!! It's ok, I understand that you couldn't debate this issue with me using facts so you had to avoid MY facts and make up your own stuff and begin further name calling. I know you know that you made up anything that would sound good to rebutt me with, but it's funny because you've failed everytime.

Actually you are an a$$hat.l I keep out of race arguments because I live and work in a multicultural environment, and believe, you get way more discrimination and abuse as a woman from men, be they black, white or yellow, than you get from another woman because of your skin colour.
Racism boils down to one simple thing.. feeling threatened by somebody else because they are different. They wear different clothes, listen to different music, have different skin, speak an alien language.. That's it, plain and simple.
When people eventually realise that we are born (no choice there) we live for a while doing whet we need to survive (again not much choice) and then we die (sometimes we have a choice, but not always) all exactly the same regardless of race, colour or creed then everything will get much better.. Remember the civil rights people back in the 60's.. they didn't want anything other than equality under the law (which actually they already had in most states, and had had since the 1860's). Not as crapheads like "the nation of islam" would paint it now.. which is they want it all, with non islam (read white) being excluded. There you have the threat, and that is the root cause.. while people seperate themselves due to colour, race or creed there will always be this conflict. Religion being one hateful driving force, and ignorance being the other.
That's my lot.. read and digest.

And who are you to say that white people are more racist? What facts do you have, other then your ignorant views, to back that up? And me not understand, what is there to not understand other then the fact that blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, and everybody else in the world can be racist - just like you.

My previous statement about old black men being more racist then anyone, was taken from a stand up act by Chris Rock, Bigger and Blacker - hmm, do racist watch Chris Rock? But of course your racist mentality has angered you so much, and filled your head with stupidity, that you can not actually look at what's being said. Instead, you would rather continue on spreading your racist hate. ;)
