Sony ushered in the next update to the PlayStation Portable, and if you haven't already checked, you'd find that you've been prompted to update to the spanking brand new PSP firmware 4.00. Now while it's a major step up in revision number, the update seems a little too conservative.

Aside from getting a new Internet search feature, media buffs on the PSP will also get the option of slowing down or speeding up playback of movies. According to the official changelog, you'll be able to do so by using the up and down buttons on the D-pad.

That's about it for now. Stay tuned for more updates.


Cfw may be out some time this month (I hope it does)

Im not gonna do this update because I have cfw but just thought i would let people know.

yes, i have already noticed that. But, thx for sharing. Also, PSP-GEN already decrypted the firmware. A lot of prx changed, from what i heard. That would be fun ... more hex editing :)
