Error 001 means that the game detected the modchip, you need to update your chip to get around it.

The modchip, not the wii chipset. D2B is the chipset. Modchip is wiikey or whatever else. You need to find out what its chipped with before you can upgrade.

Did you use the same DVDs for your old backups and the wiikey 1.9s update disc. Because if you did, it might just be a bad burn.

Dude, that thread tells all what you need to know about updating wiikeys. So whats the problem. What media of DVDs do you use? Also dont waste dual layer discs like that, use DVD5.

using mirror discs that thread very hard to follow so much info on it very hard to follow am completely new to wii chips have a 360 flashed and no where near this amount of hassle as long as the game is pal or region free then thats all that matters

Its not that hard. You download the update, run filechop, burn the iso and then install it. The only part thats complicated is running filechop and there are step-by-step directions on doing it.

And updating a wiikey chip is simpler than flashing new firmware on a 360, its just different. So theres different things you need to do. Take it slow, read the wiikey thread, and follow the directions one step at a time.

em forgot to mention that the wiikey update that i did was Wiikey 1.9b and not Wiikey 1.9g is their much difference would it be the reason why bully will not work in my console

Uh ya... There is a pretty large difference between the wiikey firmwares. 1.9b is the base firmware and is still detectable by many new games. 1.9g bypasses that detection but does not support printed dual layer disks (burned DL disks work though) And finally 1.9s works with all new games as well as supporting dual layer game disks. You will still get error 001 with firmware 1.9b

The other thing to remember is that when you upgrade the firmware it restores all settings to the defaults, which means region override is off. So if your copy of bully is from a different region that would be why it isn't working.

You should always keep your Modchip updated to the latest stable firmware.
