Whats up fellas, I've been modding psp for a short time and this is my first run in with a dead unit. Heres what happened.

First I have a White Slim Vader edition with 3.71 m-33-3, I loaded ISO of Indy legos. I was playing it had to do something left it on, came back it had turned off. Went to turn it on, light would come on for 5 sec. then shut off. So i got my pandora battery changed it back to Original 3.71 with v3.Then changed it back to CFW 3.71m33. Then tried it again it worked. Played it a little bit maybe 15min, shut it off. Now it wont even power up at all. No light comes on, nothing. When i put the pandora in the screen loads up and everything is fine.

I dont know if its my battery (which i dont think it is) or if i bricked it. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Try taking out the battery for few seconds. Put it back in and Hold R. See if the recovery menu shows up

Is there a virus in Indy (Lego)

My son was playing from an iso, left it on,
now when it comes on, none of the buttons work

I used Pandora to restore to Sony 3.71, and all is fine

going back to 3.71 M33 its back to no buttons working

any ideas gratefully accepted

I have 2 PSP slims (two sons)

I have moded both to 3.71m33-4

one works fine and other is half bricked.

I can get back to 3.71 with pandora+mms and all buttons work fine
when i load 3.71m33-2 (on mms) buttons no longer work

I have tried reflashing several times

could my son have changed something in the recovery menu or vsh that is being remembered even after reflashing ?

I thought I had a nand dump, but when i pushed R+L+Home+setup it does nothing

Thanks

You have to rename the nand dump file to nand-image.flash in order to flash it back. But make sure you are using the proper NAND dump that was dumped from that PSP. If you flash a NAND dump from another PSP to the wrong PSP you will screw the PSP up for good.

i used the dump that comes up when you use tool batt +mms

where does the dump file get put ?

didn't think I needed to rename anything before.
so a bit confusing

thanks

If you are confused then you shouldn't be messing with the NAND dump.

When did you make the dump? Just now or did you make the dump previously before installing custom firmware to the PSP.

Make sure the Dump that is on the Magic Memory Stick was dumped from the PSP your flashing it back to. Flashing a PSP NAND from a different PSP will permanently brick the PSP.

The NAND dump is placed on the root directory of the Magic Memory Stick

I did it before the cfw install

I have a file nand-dump.bin

If i rename this to nand-image.flash what do I do to flash it

I have the MMS and Tool batt

Do I just boot with these and do the L+R+Home+Start from the menu

Thanks

Yes rename the nand-dump.bin to nand-image.flash then press L+R+Home+Start from the Pandora menu. Make sure this was the NAND dump of the PSP your flashing it back to.

What should happen ?

You need to press all of them at the same time.

I made another MMS from scratch, still no joy

Is there another way to restore a nand dump ?
