the rrrod kit just arrived threw the post.2 red screw drivers,and some rubber heatsinks.should i take the 360 appart and apply the heatsinks,because while i was waiting for the rrrod kit,i did the towel trick,and its been working for 2 days now.its a flashed firmwarehitachi drive,with no security sticker.i only got it 4 weeks ago from av forums.so i cant return it to microsoft? or can i.
if warranty is good you can, or you could buy a sticker for 30$ and send it in. wait to use you kit till you get the red lights again, and trust me you will. and do not do the towel trick again, more than once and you will be hurting your system.

Yeah. No more towel trick or penny trick or what not. You can find the sticker on ebay from a seller in China.
yea four rubber heatsinks.when it happens again i will just send it to microsoft as it is.it was manufactored ib 2006.whats the chances they will fix it.if not i will use the 4 heatsinks,if microsoft dont fix it will i have to pay for carriage costs.
got the red rings back.when entering my xbox serial no,on their site they said the xbox360 was out of warrenty,even though on the back it says 206/2/22.any way i fitted the 4 rubber pads to the ram tightened it all back up turned on.and waited 10 mins with the 3 red lights then turned power of and back on ,now its working fine.lets hope it lasts.
