Ive been out of the scene and Im wondering what you can do once you mod an XBOX 360. can you run Homebrew and all that good stuff or just backups of games?

You can only run backups on it as far as I know. The best thing to do is get a regular XBox as well, and run emulators and stuff like that off of it not to mention you won't need to use dual layer discs for regular XBox games like you have to on a 360.

yep only backups, you can downgrade the kernel i believe and do a little bit of tinkering around with it, but its to much hassle for the benefits you get from it. and i think the newer updates stopped this from being possible as well.

Engadget had an article last year on a homebrew kit for the 360 that was in development not sure if it was completed, the links below although not related to homebrew may be worth checking out or not

I think the 2 best hacks you can do right now for the 360 is flash teh drive so you can play backups. And also you can upgrade to a 120gb via hardrive hack.

Like above, the homebrew(semi) is very complicated and just not worth the time.
