does anyone know if you can get the download maps for multiplayer from anywhere? i have got normal version of game if you get game of year version they are free!!! can they be swapped from one ps3 to another?

which particular game are you talking about. well it doesn't really matter which game it is every game that has add-on maps cost a fee.

I'm guessing he means the CoD4 maps, as the "game of the year" edition comes with the variety pack maps on the disk...

You can download the maps from the PS-store. They are £6.99 in the UK, not sure about the US but i think they are about $10.

Actually that's an interesting idea, because if you installed the game data off the goty disk you could get the map pack as easy as renting the game... I'll have to try this myself.

never thought of that if it works from a rented game definatly something to remember for future games to get the maps.
