my friend got a palwii with 3.2E and it's installed with the wiikey,
there was no error at the first month playing with wii, but not when he tried out mario galaxy and the message "Error #0001 Unorthorised Device Detected". the message only came up once, the game works fine now.
is there a chance the wii detected the chip, or is there something wrong with the wiikey, anyone know why
That is a common error message with modchips that have not been updated with firmware that fixes that error. But it is weird that he got it 1 time and not again. Usually a Modchip update to latest firmware would remedy this issue. Did he update the Modchip firmware after getting that error message the first time?
I wouldn't worry to much about it unless he gets it again. If he starts getting the error message on a regular basis with newer games then he should update to latest Modchip firmware (the Modchip should be updated with latest stable firmware anyway).
Yeah I had this same thing happen to me with SMG. I am using 3.2U and the newest 1.9s wiikey. But since this has only happened once and has worked fine since, I just dismissed it. So, as long as it doesn't start becoming a regular occurrence I don't really care.
I've gotten error 001 a couple times. Its very intermittent though, I play my wii nearly every day and I see that error maybe once every month if even that much.
