Hi im wondering how to figure out what my kernel is because im thinking about doing the linux thing any help would be appreciated :) thanks

Not trying to be rude, but if you're not sure how to scroll to the System blade and read the kernel, then "doing the linux thing", as you say, will be next to impossible for you.
