I have a copy of Super Mario Stadium which was released in Japan on the 19th of June.

I am playing on a NTSC (US) Wii

The game is asking me to do an update which i am sure will brick my Wii.

I am looking for a way to play the game and avoid the update if that is possible.

This game will not be released in US until august some time and i don't want to wait.

What can be done to play the game and not have the Wii Bricked?

i have heard people talking about brick block & region fry but i don't know if that is my solution. i really think that if the game is not released for us yet then the update will brick me.

If you have wii-key then you can turn on the option that stops it looking for updates before playing a game.....

Try searching then. Theres many threads covering this.....

The ultimate sticky thread would probably be a good place to start.

i tried to do all possible updates and when there were no more the game still did not work.

i took the game to my P.C. and used brick blocker without problems also.
