I've been thinking about buying GH3 for a while now,but never really got round to it. Today i found it in a shop for £45 for the game and guitar controller in a sale and was really tempted to buy it. i have never played any of the guitar hero games, but heard quite a few people say GH3 is really good.

However, reading around the reviews, t seems quite a lot of people saying they have had problems with the guitar connection, and some people even saying the game is not as good as the previous games in the series.

So really i just want to know if you guys think its worth the money? is it a fun game to play (single player and multiplayer)? and how are your experiences with the controller?
If it's worth it i'll probably go out and get it tomorrow while its in the sale.

Answers on a postcard...

Its definitely worth it imo. Online is a little laggy at times because their servers suck but otherwise its a good setup. And the song list is awesome though I do miss a few from gh2.

And the problems with the controllers actually isn't with them breaking like people rant about. They're just too stupid to realize whats actually wrong:

The guitar breaks into two pieces the neck and the body for transport (which I personally think was a stupid idea), there are a bunch of gold connectors which send the signal from the neck to the base of the guitar. People go omg my buttons are broken I need to get a new one and rant about it on the internet when actually all they'd have to go is wipe off the connectors and it would work perfectly again. It happened to me the other day actually.

One simple tip to decrease the likeliness of this happening: Keep the guitar together and leave it together, there's no reason to split it into the two pieces.

Thanks for the advice canuckerz, i went and got it today. Im pleased with it so far, especially for £45 (cheapest i've seen it before is £65). Had no problem with the guitar at all, it paired fine with the receiver and worked straight away.
Just gotta get my fingers working fast enough to hit the notes now though!

Thanks again.
