Hey I have a question mod related. I am hoping some could help me. I recently acquired a second Xbox 360, it is in need of a few repairs which I plan on doing. I have a new case, a new dvd drive and the Blaster 360 to flash the drive. My first Xbox 360 is unmoded and I play it on Xbox Live. So what I am asking is can I use my harddrive form my first unmoded Xbox 360 in my moded Xbox 360 to recieve the achievements for the games I played on it, and still put it back in my unmoded Xbox and play on Xbox Live?
So the short story is, can I use the same hard drive in two systems, one mod the other not, and if i put it back in the unmod one, will it work fine on Xbox Live and not get me banned? What should I do?
Thank you

You can swap hard drives and the achievements will be assigned to your gamertag regardless of which xbox you use.
However downloaded content will only work on the xbox you downloaded it on.
XBOX Halo Ed. = DuoX2 w/250gb HD
Xbox 360 Red Elite 120GB HDD = no-stealth 1.6 & XBReboot V3 & 1TB usb hdd
PS2 Slim = freemcboot v1.8 - PSP Black Slim = 5.00m33-6
Wii = w/ Blue XCM ii-case, Wiikey2 & softmodded

Information to tell that your have a modded box is stored on the hard drive. A simple example is if you play a game a week before release date, and there are other log features. So i would think if you plug it in a modded box then plug it back into unmoded box, you unmodded box would be infoed to MS as modded. So don't cross contaminate.

Ok, I assumed, that providing I dont play games a week prior to their releases that it would be fine. I assume what Microsoft picks up on is the fact that the drive is flashed. So, if I do not have my log obviously foiled with prereleases it should be fine?

I know that I can obviously swap out drives, and I am aware of how DLC stays directly on the system itself. Its more the question of if I put my virgin drive onto a mod box, then put it back and play on live, will I get myself kicked off live?

Yeah that's fine. I'm pretty sure that's what most people on here that can afford to do that, do.

Thanks, this makes it all seem a bit more reassuring. I will still wait for someone who does this to post so I know it does infact work that way.

Well that's what I do. I play Live with my unmodded box and play backups with my modded one. I've actually been on Live with my modded box also and have had no problems with bans knock on wood of course.

Do you use the same hard drive to accumulate achievements? Or do you use a separate hard drive for each one?
Once again thank you, most helpful :D

Even that I would be careful. I have read every disc you put into the drive is logged. And they can tell a burnt game of course no game is 'stealth' MS can see all, that's a fact.
