I bought a new hard drive for my ps2 but the install instructions say
it needs to be set to master mode how do I do that?

easy...

u shud hav ur manual or ther shud be diagrams on top of ur HDD, pins shud be there between the power socket and the connector, together with a jumper...

now...read on the diagram which says the 'MASTER' jumper position,determine which pins are said in the diagram to be closed by a jumper...and there, u got ur HDD in master mode...

many new hdd's might hav 1 or 2 jumpers, but all shud hav a manual or just a diagram abov the hdd about jumper positions...

i forgot..u need to read more about PS2 hdd's befor u try installing it on ur ps2...otherwise, it'll just wont work
