psp slim wont go CFW

I tried to make my new psp slim to 3.71m33 and when i put the pandora's battery and the magic ms in and turned it on it just took me to the xmb and not the black screen to install 3.71

The system itself is 3.80 OFW am i doing something wrong?

Put your MMS in first then Pandoras. If that doesn't work remake your MMS. Make sure your memstick is not a fake.

Fixed it it was't the magic ms it was the battery i hard modded it and it somehow wouldnt fit so i had to take it out of the case and use it

um.. i used a blade from one of those knifes to cut the plastic out then i used a needle to take the pin out

what kind of blade like a kitchen knife or a pocket knife,then u cut the sides carfully,Also wht sides should i start with the cutting. ur help is helpfull
