Im back again with few Q's I used to have a sammy with a flashed drive got the rrod send it to ms after 15 days finally got it back, but unfortunally it has the new BenQ drive and I have heard that this new BenQ drive cannot be flash. do you guys also have the same problem after the fix of rrod MS will give you a new drive that cannot be flash???

I thought the only one that can't be flashed is the Liteon

yea i am pretty sure you can flash a benq

Of course the Benq can be flashed. But the Lite-On can not. Both drives look identical. The difference is in the label.

Bhetrick on the picture that you showed is it liteon or BenQ, also the person who flashed my 360 before told me that he cannot flash my new 360 since its a new BenQ drive that's been manufactured may 08.

That's the Lite-On. See where Phillips & Lite On is circled... it'll say Phillips & Benq if it is the Benq.

Here is a quick way to check to see if you got a Lite-On or a Benq drive without voiding your warranty.Take the faceplate off and look at the color of the wire inside.If it is yellow wire then it is a Lite-On if it is white then it is a Benq.It should be located just under the disc tray to the right a little slot.

Just got home and I did check my 360 sadly to say it sucks cuz I got a phillips lite-on drive, I think this drive cannot be modded yet..

It will probably take awhile to hack,but I think it will be possible.Team Infectus could probably come up with a device for it,but it probably won't be easy to install.It will probably end up being a bugger like the Hitachi 79 drives.
