Im off to get a xbox 360 tomorrow.I'ts getting flashed the same day by a friend.Should i get a used one(not knowing how old/how much it's been hammered/repaired) or pay the extra and get a new one?I live in the UK and will be getting it from either Game or Gamestation.Both have offered 1 yr warranty on used models and have told me if i get RRod they will exchange the same day.Suggestions anyone.

What would constitute a trusted resource?I was going to get my 360 from either Game or Gamestation in the UK.
Probably the least expensive of the 2.Any other ideas/suggestions to consider?

I'd like to expand a little on what Burning mentioned.
You're taking a big risk buying used, especially from eBay. There are many who will buy rrod consoles and, instead of having MS repair them properly, will attempt to quickly fix them with some type of x clamp or heatgun fix, then resell them.
The problem with that is the vast majority of fixes are just temporary and you'll end up with a busted 360 in the near future.
I use to buy rrod consoles, ship them off to MS for repair, then resell them. It was a little more of a hassle because of the wait, but at least it was done properly (well... as proper as you'll get with the 360, anyways ;) ). But it's not worth it anymore. The unexperienced idiots hacking up consoles for quick turnaround have, like Burning mentioned, trashed the market.
Now, buying used from a store may be a little better, but you still don't know. Used is used. Someone could have easily done a fix on a rrod console, then traded it in.
The 1 year warranty they offer is a good incentive, though. If money is REALLY that much of an issue, then get the used with the warranty. But honestly your best bet is to buy new.
