OK I just purchased a PSP with some idea of how to make a pandora battery, and i read several threads about making a MMS and that seems simple enough. However, I just need assistance in understanding what CFW I need. I have a FAT PSP with Sony official firmware 3.90. Could someone lead me in the right direction?

Well if you make the pandora correctly, it should automatically make your psp one of the higher cfw versions i believe. Don't really know how that works as I've never had to use the pandora. 4.01 M33 is the newest cfw as of last night. So after you use pandora, just upgrade to 4.01.
