New flash patch update for XBOX Elite (BenQ drive)

My XBOX Elite (BenQ drive) has been flashed for the past year with 'BenQ iXtreme 1.1' and that has been working fine. BUT I have recently heard there is a new flash update for it. I was told if I want to play online I should perform this new flash. I heard that it also stops any games that aren?t stealth?ed properly not to play online.
#Is this all true?
#What is the name of the new Flash Patch?
#Should I update my console?

The 'BenQ iXtreme 1.1' had these features:
(v1.1) Extra compatability for some DVD movies
(v1.0) Defeats all current Xbox Live detection attempts
(v1.0) Boots ONLY Stealth Xtreme Xbox 360 backups
(v1.0) Boots ONLY Stealth Xtreme Xbox 1 backups
(v1.0) Boots all Xbox 360 originals
(v1.0) Boots all compatible Xbox 1 originals on Xbox 360
So what Extras does 'ixtreme 1.41' have?

I know this is a side step from the subject but what is a (BenQ drive) is it a mod and how do you get it?

(v1.41) 8x firmware dashboard speed fix
(v1.4) Disc jitter fix
(v1.1) Extra compatability for some DVD movies
(v1.0) Defeats all current Xbox Live detection attempts

(v1.0) Boots ONLY Stealth Xtreme Xbox 1 backups

The Benq drive is just a type of drive inside some XBox 360 systems,its not really a mod of any sort.The XBox 360 has different types of drives such as the Samsung,Hitachi,BenQ,and a Lite-On.

Read above and you will see what the changes are from the previous versions,and the latest version is Ixtreme v1.41 so you should use v1.41 not v1.4 as this isn't the latest.The Ixtreme v1.4 version only has the Disc jitter fix.

When I upgrade the new flash, what speed should I do it on?
The flash patches always give you several Speed options to choose from. What one is the best?

I prefer 12X as this is the default speed,but some people use 8X as another choice.I wouldn't recommend anything lower than 8X though,because the slower the speed the longer it takes as in load times etc...

I thought 12x makes the 360 really loud when it loads.
