Hi, I dont know if there is already a thread about this or if I should post it somewhere else but anyway. Upon trying to upgrade to 4.01 m33 from my 3.90 m33-3 PSP Phat via Network Update lo and behold I found that it did not download 4.01 m33, instead it downloaded 4.01 m33-2, which i noticed before i ran it thank god. I dont know whether running it would have brought an error message, but the Whole point of this long post is to warn that Network Update WILL NOT WORK to upgrade to 4.01 m33.

you can go straight to 4.01m33-2 from 3.90m33-3 i did it worked fine

so your saying you upgraded straight from 3.90 m33-3 to 4.01 m33-2 without upgrading to 4.01 m33 first? if you did that then you might find you will get problems

no -2 is just some bug fixs for 4.01m33 so it will not install the full thing

im thinking that the update may have been mixed so that it does 4.01m33 and the -2 update as well so you could always run it and see what it says but im sure if that is the case then just download 4.01m33 and install it manualy.

well since i dont have a pandoras battery to recover anything that may go wrong im not about to test it but I think that unless the 4.01 m33-2 has a prompt to install 4.01 m33 first or to download more files that you do need to install 4.01 m33 manually first, because 1 mb seems a bit small for a firmware update for me and you always, at least so far, have to get the actual firmware update in question (in this case 4.01 official) to update to that cfw.

it does prompt you to dl 4.01m33. after i went to network update and it tried to update to -2 it prompted me to download the original. i believe it was 25mb then it continued on with -2 after. under system settings it says 4.01m33-2 i dont think if it just applied bug fixes it would make it say that

here i downloaded 4.01 m33-2 from the m33 network update it says 1mb but i didnt have enough battery to preform so i charged me psp then i went ot see how big it was and it said 26mb so it has to be something
