Hi folks,

A few questions I hope you'll be able to answer for me. I have a slim PSP OFW 4.01. If I follow this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313 will this get me to CFW? Basically I want to rip my games and play them from memory stick, use some emulation software to use as a pdf viewer and maybe play some emulation games. Do I need to use the 150 add on as well? After finishing using this guide should I update to 4.01 M33-2? Is there an advantage to doing this?

Thanks in advance.

the 150 addon is only for FAT psps, the slim ahrdware blocks 1.50 from running directly

1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

That guide will not help you as you have a official firmware Slim PSP although you will need the same thing a Magic Memory Stick and Pandora battery.

The MMS can be made by using this via your PC

You will also need the official Eboots from Here

The battery is a little bit more diffcult. As you have a New slim it is almost certain you will have the V2 or V3 Mobo and this means you cannot create the Pandora Battery via your PSP.

You can either use a Phat battery in your slim as Pandora, Hard mod your existing battery or Buy a Datel/Service/Tool battery from somewhere.

Once you have both of these you can switch to CFW.

The 1.50 Add-on generally allows you to use more 1.50 Based homebrew, as the firmwares are updated this is becoming less and less relevant as more and more homebrew is based on the higher kernels. Not even sure it works on the Slim PSP's.

Thanks for clearing that up for me gentlemen, are you sure the guide will not work? It states "This guide is intended for use with Official Firmware FAT/SLIM PSP's."

Thanks again.

January39 I have a datel on order, if I use the app you suggest which Eboots do I need? Or is there a guide for using this app to make my PSP CFW?

Thanks.
