Hi all, I have recently had my xbox 360 flashed by a friend and I think it has a Samsung drive in it. I have tried to backup one of my games "conan". I have a NEC ND-3540a burner on my PC. I have used this burner to rip the game with Wxripper and then have fixed the image with xdvdmulleter beta 10. I am new to this and have been reading and trying to learn best i can.. I followed this video method to create by backup image http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_7fW76u4QA . I am burning the images with IMG Burn at 2.4 speed and i have set the layer break in imgburn to 1913760. I am using the .dvd file that i created with xdvdmulletter to burn the image off. It appears to burn ok and I try it on the console and it works apart from strangely the sound effects are missing (but music and speech still ok). Now I know I should use verbatim discs (and i have ordered some) but in the meantime while i am waiting i got some cheap "MR.DVD" discs from maplins (25 for £15). Now I know that this cheap media is probabably the cause but i thought i would ask whether anyone else has come accross this and is it likely to just be the media or might i need a pioneer instead of my NEC drive ? Or am I just going wrong somewhere else ? Thanks, Rich.

I dont know what caused it but i have tried it again using the same method apart from this time i used SSmerger instead of dvdmulleter and burnt it to the cheapo media and seems to work ok now all sounds and all. Im still not sure where i was going wrong but at least i know how to do it so it works now....and ill use the good verbatim media when it arrives and the backups will prob last longer. Rich.
