greetings fellow earthlings!
I bought a psp back in march and caught a glimpse of downgrading psp's to run iso files. only problem is, OFW 3.90 doesn't hav a downgrader(yet?). Any of you guys can help, i'd really apreciate it. I also discovered, a lot of people have this problem like mine.
Can someone help me downgrade?
i only have:
one psp blume edition(slim and lite) OFW 3.90 (previously v3.40, before i ignorantly upgraded it)
two slim batteries (one of them i succesfully hard-modded into a pandora)
two sony memory stick Pro Duo (2gb and 4gb, but i doubt the 2gb is original)
a Vista computer (but i can use an XP computer from my friends)
Can someone give me a step-by-step guide to downgrading and installing Custom Firmware? thanks a lot, and i'm sure it would be a big help to many other current PSP owners out there.
update: how come nothing happens when i press the L-trigger during start-up?
during the course of trying to mod my psp, i couldn't go to the recovery screen. I also tried pressing the r-trigger but nothing still happens. what hav i done wrong?
Try this Tut by a guy named SolidSnake44x.
It uses an app called PSP Graderto install Despertar del Cementario v5 which in turn lets you install 3.90 M33-3 on your Fat or Slim.
it will install 3.71m33-2
then you can use it to upgrade to whatever you want
id upgrade to 3.90m33-3 then network update on your psp to 4.01m33-2
you can do that by going to settings and clicking the network update icon (do this only after you install custom firmwae 3.80m33 or above)
sinces your using a slim you cant downgrade your psp to anything below 3.50 just so you know be it orignial firmware or custom
also note*** this works for some people on vista all the ones that work on vista that ive seen have been using vista ultimate 32bit
Note*** try it on vista first then if it doesn't work try you friends xp
Note*** when you finish making the magic memory stick you might see something that says corrupted data leave it there dont delete it or worry about it its normal(i got worried but found out its normal)
Note*** Good Luck once your psp is modded you can google for psp games (called iso,cso,sometimes DAX) id link you to it but i dont think its allowed in this forum but there is a certain site im reffering to id google psp isos but why not change the s on isos to a z isoz and maybe put the psp and isoz together and add a .com to the end hmm lol ;)
