I keep getting the "You have been disconnected from the PlayStation Network" error, more after I upgraded to 2.40. How do I fix this? I hear it is some settings in the router like NAT 2 or something I need to change. What settings is it exactly? I have already disabled UPnP. What are the advantage/disadvantages of that? I have a Dlink WBR-2310. There is no possible way to wire my PS3 online, that would involve wiring a huge (100+ feet) Ethernet cable outside, down into my basement from a window, back out to the router.

Try following this guide http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/WBR-2310/PS3_NAT_Type_3_to_2.htm

or put your PS3 into a DMZ and see if that helps.

I'll try that and let you know. My dad's currently on the only computer wired to the router.
