Hi Guys (& girls I guess!)

I have recently bought a second hand Wii, and i'm thinking of getting it chipped, I just wondered were you sent your Wii off to get it chipped, and if you recomend it, also how long it took to get your Wii back etc.

I know there are a few sites on the net that advertise this service but I would rather get recomendations from you first.

Thanks for any help :-)

Bought the chip on a clip and installed it myself. 10 minutes well spent.

Have since done 9 others for friends the same way and am down to well under 5 minutes start to finish for the whole process.

You may find you get more meaningful answers if you give a hint of where on the globe you are.

Phuong Mods in Canada, it took him less than an hour to do it and put it back in the post. 4 days total with the postage. Excellent job.

[edit] ok so postage fromm england may be a bit pricey :)

What are your skills exactly
soldering ,doing easy handy man stuff??
like how far can you do it yourself
you can buy a chip and its wii clip and a triwing screw driver and its very very easy from now on

edit: i just read that some ppl had problems with the clips and chips at threads over here so be sure to choose a good supplier

I would say my handy man skills are limited haha.

I don't have a soldering iron or anything and wouldn't want to run the risk of damaging the Wii.

That's why I would rather send it off and have it done, that way I know it will be done properly, if you get me.

Your Drive Chip is most likely GC2-D2C.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.

ok you are looking for a d2c chip and wii clip and and a triwing screwdriver

just go through the list of chips have a pick and see how supporting is the team in terms of updates and that ,then choose one

this will not require much skill or the use of soldering iron
maybe there are some videos that show wii-clip installations
