i have a psp slim with the tv/link component cable that hooks up to hd tv when i plug it into the back of my mitsubishi hd tv and switch the tv to the component selection i still get nothing

yes i did the screen goes black on my psp but doesnt show anything on my tv

hold it down a lil longer till u see something on your psp screen then it should appear on your tv and if not check if u plugged it into the tv right

Or if it has other inputs u should try those it happened with my friends 62" hdtv it didnt work till i tried the other input

so after i hold the display button and it goes black keep holding it?
untill the movie appears on the tv and the psp or just the tv

Yes it was on the instructions to hold down the display button until you see a symbol on the PSP's screen.

i still cant get it to work when i press the display button on my psp it will go black and if i press it again the movie will come bak on but if i hold the display button in then the screen stays black for a few mins and then the psp just powers down any thing will help me in my trouble shooting

Keep your thumb/finger held down on the display button until something pops up on the PSP's screen.

Might be a faulty cable really.
