I have recently purchased a refurbished xbox 360 that has a hitachi drive. It came with a 3 year rrod warranty and a 1 year warranty for everything else. I'm buying a blaster 360 for it and a talismoon whisper fan. I plan on playing on live and was wondering if I would would get banned if i played originals on live and backups offline. But my main question is that if I get banned can I just completely destroy my xbox by overheating it and then send it in under the warranty to get a new one that would work on live?

If you plan to flash your drive with hacked firmware you still are taking risks everytime you go online whether its with originals or backups. If you get banned and want to destroy it that is up to you,but if you do send a messed up console into MS you risk getting a Lite-On drive as well. The best thing to do is get two systems one with hacked firmware, and another one untouched. That way if you do play online you won't have to worry about getting banned. Its not a cheap solution, but its the best setup for avoiding online bans.

Thanks for your input, however i do have another unanswerd question and that is wether or not I should flash with the blaster as if i was flashing without ,ie directly from motherboard to motherboard.

Why don't you attempt to find the answer yourself instead of wanting to be spoonfed the answer??

Those questions are over the board, esp the first one. Not giving you a hard time, just try to look at other people's threads and use search button.
