LiteOn DX-20A3P-03C For Burning 360 Games?

Hi everyone, I came across this forum after searching for reasons why the discs I had burnt with games for my 360 weren't working. Turns out there's something wrong with certain Sony drives, I'm using some crappy Optiarc one which I presume is causing the problem.

So I looked at buying a new drive and being stuck on a laptop currently, I decided it would be easiest if I went with an external drive and drive and came the LiteOn DX-20A3P-03C. The specs mention it's compatible with dual layer but doesn't mention much else. I was wondering if anyone had successfully burnt 360 games with this or could tell me if it's likely to do the job. i cant say ive used that drive before but if i were you i would just stick with internal. I have never had a problem with a pioneer drive burning games and i know a lot of other people who haven't either. So i would recommend getting some sort of pioneer internal ide or sata drive.

So I'm likely to have to buy a slimline drive and swap it with the one currently in my laptop? An option I would rather avoid if it's possible...Unless I buy a desktop internal and fit it into an external case. Would that be any better than buying one of these retail externals?

i couldnt see the slimline drives for laptops being that expensive. I just dont know how it will operate running from usb. I know that its not hard replacing a laptop drive if that is what you are worried about...

It's not the price or the fitting. The ones I've seen are pretty cheap and fitting one wouldn't be a problem.

It's the range of drives that I've found at the couple of places I checked out. There don't seem to be that many out there and the places selling them are often very vague when listing the specs. If I came across one that was pretty much guaranteed to work I would get a slimline instead...
