Works fine, has a samsung drive yet to be identified, went ahead and ordered 2 RROD kits from llama.com, just wondering would installing these kits and redoing the thermal paste on the CPU be a worthwhile activity, or is it best to wait for the dreaded 3RROD before taking on the task? I will have the console apart for reflashing anyways. I thought once about inducing 3RROD for warranty service but do not desire another second of my life wasted to those F***'s in customer service.

i would just wait until it happens, you could poentially damage your board by inducing 3RROD.

Yeah probably just best to wait. It's really only a matter of
time before it fails. I'm on my 3rd 360 now in 2 years. Sorry to hear about your ordeal Thor. Although my experience was certainly a pain it pails in comparison to yours! Hope it all works out for the best though.

Hey thanks yeah its been rough. No, I'm talking about installing the 3RROD fix kit as a preventative measure, as I am also installing a Talismoon whisper fan and redoing the thermal paste.

Oh ok! I see, fix it before it fixes you? Ha Ha Well seeing how you probably don't want a repeat performance what do you have to lose really? If after all the precautions it should fail then it's not like you couldn't just pick up another one right? So yeah, go for it and be sure to let us know what happens!
