BETTER Guide For Cwcheat AND For 4.01 M33-2

Step 1: Get 4.01 M33-2 HERE---->
Dark Alex's 4.01 M33-2
You Need to donwgrade first using a CFW psp!
If You Dont Have Access To A Custom Firmware PSP! Check AfterDawn
(OTHER GUIDES DONT TELL YOU HOW TO GET CUSTOM FIRMWARE AND MOST PEOPLE WHO COME HERE DONT!)
Step 2: Download New Cwcheat : HERE----> 2.2 REV C <---- UPDATED
NOOBZ--->
FOR THE FILES ABOVE YOU NEED WINRAR TO OPEN THEM!WINRAR HERE
Step 3: Copy The Folder Out Of Install 3.71 (it should be a seplugins folder) Into The Root Of Memory Stick
NOOBZ----->
THE ROOT IS THE FIRST WINDOW YOU OPEN ON YOUR COMPUTER, WHEN YOU CONNECT PSP WITH COMPUTER WITH USB CABLE.
Step 4: Enable In Recovery Mode Of The PSP!
( There Should Be Three Things To Enable, DO THEM ALL)
THEN IT WILL WORK!!!!
NOOB ALERT IF YOU CANT GET TO RECOVERY

Start by fully turn off your PSP by holding the power button for a couple of seconds. After the screen goes dark, you know it?s off, and you can let go. Then press the big R button on top, and hold it. Next turn on the PSP (still holding the R button!), and you will see the recovery menu. Simple, eh?

hi LukeWiggy what exactly do you mean by downgrade first? i have installed the 4.01 m33-2 already and the cwcheats doesn't work, i just did install 2.2 REV C onto my psp by following your steps and it still doesn't work..

that was no help at all -_-
all you do is download the revc
unrar it
go to the folder that says install
open it copy the seplugins folder into your psp
go to your psp's recovery menu go to plugins enable all of the cwcheat related ones and it works -_-
then go dl the latest cheat db from the same website and go into the seplugins folder on your psp open the cwcheat folder in there copy and paste the cheat db in there and overwrite the old one
and you have updated cheats thats it
*note on 4.01m33-2 sometimes it freezes if you open cwcheat while its loading something

Read the instructions
and obviously dont load cwcheat whilst on a game (whilst loading) the psp cant read the mem stick quick enough!

well i'm 100 percent sure that all relevent pluggins are enabled and yeah, aren't you supposed to load the cheats while playing the game by pressing select? and anyway, i mean, i have a mark2 8gb mem stick so i'm sure it's quick enough...

only install the 3.71 folder if your on the 3.72 kernal o_O im on 4.01 so i went the the regular install folder -_-

it will work on the 3.71 folder i have had this folder installed on my psp since 3.80 M33 and its ALWAYS worked no problemS!

I might just want to say somethin. This was copied from weltall (the creator of cwcheat)

3.7x meanin X can be any number. If i know my math, 4.01 is nowhere near 3.7x. These are just weltall instructions, so i rather follow what he/she says.

it actually depends. Some games work anytime, and some dosent. It depends on the game you are playing. Since u are messin with hex codes.

I agree but on there forums i asked him how to do something and he was stuck and it took me an hour to figure out how to get it working!

im just surprised that the creator would get stuck at his own program. Cuz even a noob know if the plugin from Install didnt work then he/she would try the Install371.

no when i used to look on the forum i asked him how to use cwcheat on a 3.01 m33 psp he said the INSTALL folder, i did everything he said and guess what it didn't work so i tried the INSTALL371 and it works!

i cant get cwcheat to work i used the sepugins in install 371 i have 3.71 m33-2 on my psp when i start a game (monster hunter freedom 2) i try to hold the select button to bring up the menu but nothing happen what is the problem?

This is for firmware 3.90M33 and upwards, you use what it says in the readme!
