hi, i have a mkv file that is 4.33 GB (4,655,047,431 bytes). i used tsmuxer to convert to m2ts but the file size is now 4.59 GB (4,936,101,888 bytes) which is too big to burn on a standard dvdr (even with over burn in nero). why did the file get bigger? is there any solution to this? so far, i just chop off the last 10mins of the video to get it to fit.
I wouldn't mind splitting the video into 2 or more DVDs. What software out there can do this splitting and burning my video into multi volumn DVDs for me?
FYI tsmuxer has a split&cut feature..
Normally I extract with mkvextract ,and re-encode audio using a lower bitrate, then muxing original video and new audio with tsmuxer for a smaller .m2ts file...

that's a very good point. thanks for the suggestion. I just tried this program last night, but I haven't tried transferring the files yet. I plan on doing it with my external hard drive. I'll update the topic to let you all know what happens...
