Is there a difference in joining MPEG clips in Vegas video 4.0 vs TMPGEnc? I just bought Vegas so I had planned on using that, but I have seen posts that suggests TMPGEnc is the way to join clips. I know there is a big cost difference between the two products but since I now own Vegas I wanted to be sure that was the best quality approach.

Thanks

Since you have Vegas already, you should just use that to join your MPEG files. TMPGEnc does a good job but so does Vegas. Quality wise, I think they're both pretty close. I personally use TMPGEnc, but Vegas is very good also.
