COD4 screen resolution problems

On the back of the cod4 case it says it handles 1080i. I have a 1080p TV and from what i understand, that's better than 1080i. But the game only plays at 720p. Why wont it play at 1080i?

Turn off 720 in your display settings and it will display at 1080. Make sure you switch back when your not playing.

alright so this is all in the PS3 menu under display right?

yeah all of it is in that menu. you dont have to change it back unless youre going to play a game that doesnt support 1080p cause it will start playing in 480p. personally i dont see a difference between 1080p and 720p in CoD4.

what other games come in 1080?

cod4 is the only one i have that has anything over 720

umm the only other games i have that are in 1080p are Gran Turismo 5 prologue and MGS4. they both look awesome.

1080i is the higher resolution, but I personally can't tell a difference between the two on the PS3. There are many valid arguments here over this subject.
