audio through HDMI--DVI?

Hey all,
I hope someone can help me with this. I just bought a DVI to HDMI cable so I can play my ps3 on my lcd monitor. It works fine, but I am forced to run the audio through my sterio with the RCA cables. The only problem with that is my Sterio setup is for the tv, and not my computer screen, so all my speakers are too the left of me when I'm sitting at my computer monitor. My LCD Monitor has speakers built in, and I noticed that under the audio settings of my ps3, I have the option to run audio through the HDMI cable. I've been trying to mess with the setting on my monitor and the ps3, but with no success. Anybody got any ideas?

Any/all help is appreciated!

You can't run the sound through the hdmi to dvi cable because dvi doesn't support audio, just video.

Get a rca to headphone jack converter so you can plug the ps3's rca audio output into your monitor.
