a friend bought a Psp,according to him it bricked while using the net update feature.He had a Pandora's and so do i and neither does anything.I have modded several psps for friends and never actually seen a bricked one before.I thought pandoras fixed all that but i guess not...Is there anything else to try or is he f'd? any help or suggestions much appreciated

have you tried the universal unbricker 3?

because you have pandoras


if that doesnt work post and ill try to help you more

what firmware was he on when he network updated

hey,thanks for your reply,I am at work and didnt bring a usb cable so i'll have to wait for tonight.Do look for me again tommorow because i can almost promise i will get stuck and if not will giving a big thanks either way.I am optomistic the great people at this site can help me fix,I haven't stumped y'all yet

upon talkingto him further ,he sez he updated via net update to 4.01m33-2 and then was playing God of war and screen went black and he "f'd with it and now its dead.will let everyone know what happens tonight.thanks

try this..........put magic mem card in and then put pandoras battery in and when it turns on hold down L,R,start ,Home and restore it then redo the downgrade (and kernal addon if it's a fat psp).....let me know if this works out....JJ

so i followed intructions on memory stick and still unable to make psp do anything.it will cut on with pandora's but still black screen...anything else?

hold L,R ,start and home to restore....some mm cards wont show the screen with the options but the lights will blink..... so hold those buttons for 10 seconds and wait 5 minutes then restart and see what it does..... this fixed my friends... if this works then after snap the Pb back in and when it turns on hit x and wait 5 minutes and hit x again..... then put your regular battery back in and check the version and see if it reloaded m33 back on it..... oh make sure you do the 1.50 kernal add on if it's a fat psp.... let me know what happens....

i have tried with both and nothing...i not sure i doing right.The PSP never does anything such as lights blinking when i do this and the only way i can power down is to take battery out
