because when i use the cable it goes through the house and it makes a hazard, and people are tripping on it and its in the way all the time, and id like to know if theres a cheaper wireless router instead of buying the one from best buy or wherever which is $100, is there another kind i could use which is cheaper? like one that could hook up to usb port in the back?

You can use a wireless bridge that just hooks up to your normal ethernet port. You can get wireless-G bridges for about a third less than the price of the 360 usb adapter. Just look up "wireless gaming adapter" on your favorite retail site.

what do you mean by a wireless birdge? and normal ehternet port? like a cable? and what do you mean also by a wireless-G bridges?

I use a 18 dollar access point from Fry's. Its a Airlink 101 AR431W.

so i went to best buy yesterday with my parent and like i just bought the pelican to be safe and it was cheaper.. but when i tried to set it up just now it wouldnt work -.- so i guess im just going to find something called linksys wireless-g game adapter? i dont know. i cant seem to find a wireless gaming adapter, and the people at best buy had no idea.. all they said was to use a access point, will that work?

can someone explain what it means by a wireless-g, and bridge? and if i were to get a game adapter, will i be able to take it around with me and it wouldnt find other wireless internet?
