Gitaroo, The old rule still stands,(You Get What You Pay For). Without knowing who made the media, I would stay away from it. Cheap media is the biggest cause of problems in burning DVD's along with improper use of the programs. You will save yourself many headaches if you buy good quality blank media.

I have used a variety of DVD-R blanks. Some brand name and some generic and I have found that it?s the software you use to decrypt and burn that makes the difference and not the DVD-R?s.

grovesej, You may have been lucky so far. All you have to do is read the several thousand posts on here which state that cheap no name media causes many problems with improper backups and coasters. Its a fact. If you can get away with the cheap media, thats fine, but don't lead others on to think they don't cause problems.
