Hello once again, I'm looking for somebody to enlighten me, my "good" sixaxis controller keeps turning onto controller 2 when i first power it up. It's annoying that i have to keep changing it to pad 1. Any ideas why? Thanks.

Do you have Guitar Hero? If you leave the dongle plugged in then it takes controller port 1.

just like ooZEROoo said. if there's anything plugged in the first port, besides the usb cable you'd use to recharge your controller, the ps3 will recognize your controller as if it were as the second player. If you have your microphone from rock band (that is if you own it) plugged in, then i don't think it'll change your controller to the second port.
