Hi there,

Can someone please explain how a pandora battery and a magic stick memory unblocks the PSP to work with downloaded games?
What's a Pandora Battery? And a magic stick memory?

hi 007(james bond) basically a pandoras battery is a battery with the EEPROM leg taken off or flashed so the hex value is 0xFFFFFF. The EEPROM boots the ipl in the flash0 (some peeps say it boots the FW but my way is true) but since the EEPROM is not there, It looks for any IPL's on the memory stick. And that is where we come to MMS's. A MMS is just a memory stick with a customized IPL and a few other folders containing the flash files of the CFW.

The Pandoras kit works by the battery booting up the customized IPL on the memstick and that boots up DC5 (or 4 or 3...) then it replaces your current official flash files with the CFW ones.
