connecting multiple xboxs to xbox live trouble

alright my friend brought his xbox 360 over and we're trying to connect to xbox live. we have two xbox 360s each with their own live accounts, and two discs. they are both connected directly with ethernet cables to my buffalo router. they both can sign on separately, but when we try to sign on at the same time, it doesnt work. only one can be connected at a time. how do i fix this? ive googled this and saw other people had problems but i never saw a definite answer. please help. thanks.

try switching ports on the router, and if your pc is on the router unplug it and plug you 2nd xbox in that spot and try it.

ehh. it started working. but it most likely will stop. its always an on and off thing. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. i will still appreciate any tips from you guys if you have any.
