urgent help with wiiclip and d2pro on it

last month i got a wii clip along with d2pro soldered on it. i opened my wii and installed it .

for first time it worked but when i closed the console it stopped working then again i opened it and it worked again then when i closed it stopped working for 2nd time. i thought i might forgot to put the cover that prevents wii clip or the modchip from being over heat or shock i dont know what but it was instructed so.. finally one day i decided to put the wii clip again for last time and this time when i installed it on the board same way like before ,,,, the d2pro showed me a red light it wasnt blinking it would stay as long as wii is on and wouldnt allow me to put any dvd but when i removed it it worked fine.... pls help me and tell me if it can get fixed or else i have to solder it thank you.

sounds to me like the back of the chip is earthing on the metal casing of the wii

you need to make sure that you pur electrical tape on both sides of the clip so that the chip doesnt touch the case!

the wii-clip should have come with a cardboard sleave that fits over the wii clip on the plastic bit that clips onto the chip on the dvd drive! there should of also been a sticker to stick to the bottom of the chip so that doesnt earth on the dvd drive.

by the way i did what u said but unfortunately now even it doesnt work the wii clip. because whats happening now is that when i am installing the modchip with wii clip its showing me a red light and the dvd drive of wii which is usually stays blue now its blinking and doesnt allow me to push the dvd in also. is it that i have to solder it or there are some other ways.
