Hi again,
guys i finally got a 4GB memory stick.
now the thing is that the psp already has a custom firmware, right..
so i connected the USB and made a folder is the root called ISO, all capital.
i put 2 games in it one is iso and the other is cso.
now when i exit and click on "Memory Stick" under GAMES icon, it says there are no games.
now what should i do, pls. help me out here, ive read about installing some emulator and reseting the psp and stuff but could use some help coz iam new at this, and not sure about those thing.
thanking u :)

ROOT/
PSP (folder) (this folder had 2 more folders 1) APP 2) SYSTEM
MSTK_PRO.IND
MEMSTICK.IND
it had the above 2 files and a folder called PSP.
this might help u guyz out in figuring the problem,
Thanks again.

Hi,
Thanks alot mate, that solved the problem (ur a genius) and the games are now available in the memory stick section on the psp. :)
i have 2 more questions, if u could help me out:
1) any suggestion in games for a 10yr. old kid??
2) ive read that cso files are more compressed than iso and therefore take much less space on the MS, is that true??
if yes would u recommend any special converter to convert iso to cso??
thanks for the all the help. :)

For appropriate PSP games, try this site.

Be sure to select either E or E10+ or make judgment calls on your own.
I believe CSO games should run the same as ISO. I've never dealt with a CSO game before, but I've read that they should be treated just like ISO's on newer custom firmwares.

CSO tends to lag for some games. Especially bigger size games or games like GTA. CSO are compressed ISO games. U can the app UMDGEN to uncompress it back to ISO. Hope that helps
