Does anyone know how the people or ebay stores go about getting the broken 360's from the retail stores such as wallmart an all that?

they dont come from walmart, they buy them from people and then turn around and sell them. they buy them super cheap and turn around and resell them for whatever they can get. thats how i got my current 360, paid 135 with shipping and the only thing wrong with it is it will only read 3 controllers.

so what your saying is the companies that sell them in whole sale are buying all of them from people not huge companies?

Yeah more than likely those ebay stores are just pawnshops reselling their stock of RROD consoles. Local pawnshops are a good place to pick those up if you're friendly with them.
